Join a global organisation in a role driving change & improvements.Leadership opportunity managing New Product Development strategies.About Our Client With a long-lasting history of success, the company positions itself as a key player in the Food sector, fostering thousands of partnerships with major retailers and local producers.In order to provide leadership and excellence in NPD outcomes, we seek a New Product Development and Innovation - Food who will be responsible for crafting innovative food solutions.Job Description The New Product Development and Innovation - Food has the following responsibilities: Oversee the entire NPD process and strategy (ideation, concept development, costing, sampling, etc.)collaborating closely with commercial key account managers and operational leads.Foster and empower a high-performing NPD team Engage with different customers across the board, addressing feedback and presenting innovative solutions for major retailers Led and coordinated the NPD gate process, conducting post-launch product reviews and coordinating action plans to mitigate risks and enhancements.Identify revenue-generating opportunities across multiple channels by proactively seeking out products suitable for existing or potential new customers Manage product labelling and nutritional panel development and requirements for all value-added products, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory standards.Support the QA Manager to implement QA and QC requirements for all new value-adding operations or process changes.The Successful Applicant The successful New Product Development and Innovation - Food meets the following requirements: Qualification in Food Science, Food Technology & Processing, or similar Minimum 8-10 years of experience as an NPD, R&D, and Food Science manager in a large, structured company working with a multi-channel product environment (retail) Familiarity with Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ), food labelling, allergen regulations, State legislation, and international requirements.Proficient understanding of packaging materials and their suitability for various product types.Dedication to adhering to safe work practices consistent with WHS policies and procedures.Significant commercial awareness, including experience collaborating with Australian retailers.What's on Offer Excellent opportunity for a New Product Development and Innovation - Food within a well-established Australian organisation.Competitive salary, incentive bonus, annual allowance for company's products.
