We are looking for new graduate psychologists, enrolled (or eligible for enrolment) in the Clinical, Forensic or Neuropsychology Registrar Program for Area of Practice Endorsement with the Psychology Board of Australia to gain experience working in the following areas:
General New Graduate Rotation Program: Hospital setting supporting adults, children or young people during and following a sudden acute illness. Adult Rehabilitation with adults following a traumatic brain injury. Mental Health settings which may include working in either hospital based or community teams providing psychological services to adults, children or young people experiencing mental health disorders. Successful candidates in the HP1 new graduate program will have the opportunity to rotate across services and divisions to provide them with a broad range of experiences and opportunities to identify their clinical passion.
Forensic Mental Health Internal Rotation Program: A two-year specialist psychology rotational graduate program with Forensic Mental Health Services (FMHS).
The role will involve internally rotating through and working in our custodial, inpatient, and community-based forensic mental health services over a two-year period.
In your first placement, you will work as part of an energetic team of allied health, nursing and medical colleagues to provide mental health assessments, clinical management, and skills-based interventions.
In your second placement, you will work closely with the multidisciplinary teams to deliver structured psychological assessments and interventions to consumers of our inpatient mental health facilities.
In your final placement, you will work under the supervision of senior psychologists and other health clinicians to conduct general mental health assessments and prepare basic mental health reports.
