New Era Electrical Services (NSW) Pty Ltd is a well-established Electrical & Communications Company specialising in the non-residential and engineering construction industries.
We are seeking to engage an experienced Brisbane/South Queensland based Project Manager reporting to our Head Office based Operations Manager located in Southern Sydney.
The minimum requirements for the position are as follows:
5 years + experience in Project Management within a service/construction business Demonstrated knowledge of electrical/communication industry standards and safe work practices Ability to read and interpret plans and drawings Relationship management, conflict management and resolution, and problem-solving expertise Impeccable communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels, i.e., building rapport with clients and subcontractors Confidence in your analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work to deadlines and manage conflicting priorities in a high-volume work environment Ability to develop and deliver work schedules against program plans Strong commercial focus with demonstrated business acumen Financially astute, capable of identifying potential risks and able to run projects profitably Commitment to developing and maintaining a culture of high performance that consistently delivers results and behaviour that exceeds expectations Proactive, "can-do" attitude and being calm under pressure Current White Card Current RIW Card QR SARC, QR WET & QR Fatigue Management competencies - can arrange upon appointment Computer literate with strong command of MS Project The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
Manage multiple commercial and industrial projects simultaneously to guarantee timely completion of projects without complications Risk assessment and mitigation to ensure profitable margins are achieved Confidently and concisely communicate with customers, contract administrators, site supervisors, tradesmen, apprentices, principal contractors, and sub-contractors Manage and mentor a team of electricians and apprentices Attend and participate in site coordination and planning meetings Forecast labour requirements and schedule work Procurement of materials to complete projects on time Provide technical input for tender submissions Complete accurate monthly project reports Read and interpret project drawings Adhere to electrical industry standards Adhere to company policies and site safety procedures.
