We are seeking a Chinese Language Teacher to join the Senior School teamTerm 1, 2025 non-ongoing part-time contractElevate your career at CGSAbout the Role The School is seeking to appoint an inspirational and collaborative teacher of Chinese language who will assist the School in its quest for excellence in learning and teaching.
The Chinese language teacher will guide students through the intricacies of Chinese, aligning with both the Australian curriculum for Years 7 to 10 and the MYP framework. The educator will facilitate students' understanding of multimodal texts, fostering their ability to engage with simplified characters. Assessments will range from written exercises demonstrating linguistic competence to oral presentations that showcase cultural understanding.
About You You are dedicated, passionate and possess the following:
Experience teaching Chinese Language in a similar environmentProven passion for the learning and holistic development of students in and beyond the classroomProven experience of modelling outstanding teaching practice in and beyond the classroomProven subject expertise and the ability to teach inclusively across a broad age and ability rangeProven commitment to collaborative professional engagement and professional learningExperience of, or willingness to train for, teaching the Australian Curriculum and the International Baccalaureate (MYP and DP)Enthusiastic commitment to participating in the School's pastoral and co-curricular programClear commitment to respecting the School's Anglican ethos and spirit of inclusionFirm commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.All team members at CGS are required to have:
