We are looking for an Assistant Archivist, to work 3 days per week.
Located in Summer Hill Sydney, Trinity Grammar is now looking for a committed and diligent individual for the role of Assistant Archivist to join our Information and Communications Technology Department. The role is part-time, (3 days) offering flexibility for you to balance your other life interests and priorities.
To succeed in this role, you will be committed to excellence and innovation and be flexible transitioning between preserving the rich heritage of our school and ensuring our records management is compliant and robust. If you enjoy variety and are looking to be challenged, this role may be your next role. Your time will be shared between coordinating the collection, sorting, and cataloguing of archival material (records) in accordance with professional standards and practices. You will work across the whole School assisting with the acquiring and processing of a selected sample of unique and irreplaceable archival materials from members of the wider community, providing a record of the aspirations and experiences of Trinity Grammar School.
We are looking for… The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge and experience in archive, records management, and safe work practices, and a passion for historical records and artefacts. We are also seeking someone with an interest in the development of digital preservation practices. This position is suitable for candidates who have completed or are working towards formal qualifications in Archives Management and/or Records Management or have previous experience in a similar role. The successful applicant will be reliable and enjoy working independently as well as being genuinely enthusiastic towards working as part of a hardworking and diverse team in a Christian School setting.
