Role & Responsibilities Perform complex neurosurgical procedures for patients with various neurological conditions, including brain tumours, spinal cord injuries, and vascular abnormalities. We offer substantial exposure to Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery (MISS) techniques including MISS and tubular decompression techniques, percutaneous screws, navigation techniques, LLIF, OLIF (ATP) and MISS L5/S1 ALIF, TLIF and PLIF. Spinal deformity surgery, motion preservation techniques (TDR, DSS) and intradural surgery is also regularly seen. The case mix is predominantly degenerative, but trauma, tumour, AIS and infective cases are frequent. Diagnose and evaluate patients through comprehensive neurological examinations, medical imaging, and other diagnostic tests. Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals, including neurologists, radiologists, and anaesthesiologists, to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Provide preoperative and postoperative care to patients, ensuring their well-being and recovery. Stay abreast of advancements in neurosurgical techniques, research, and technologies, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our practice. Participate in teaching and mentoring activities for medical students, residents, and fellows. Every surgical patient is enrolled in an outcomes database offering multiple research opportunities, and research with our Neurospine Foundation is highly encouraged. Requirements: Medical degree from a recognized institution. Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) Registration as a Medical Practitioner with APRHA Current rights to work in Australia (Australian or New Zealand citizenship or Australian permanent resident) Extensive experience in performing a wide range of neurosurgical procedures.
