PRIMARY DETAIL MQ Health is seeking an experienced Neurophysiology Scientist to join the team on a casual basis.

Competitive hourly rate in line with level of experience, and access to Maxxia (salary packaging) to maximise your take home pay) This role is responsible for provision of a high-quality neurophysiological service to patients of MQ Health Neurology (Clinic) and Macquarie University Hospital.

Consult and coordinate with other healthcare providers in relation to care/testing, and promptly advise referring specialist clinicians/senior medical staff of patient outcomes requiring immediate clinical attention.
Prepare patient reports for referring clinicians and other clinicians/bodies as relevant within and external to MQ Health.
Accurately record patient data and reports into the electronic medical record system or other records management systems as required by MQ Health.
Preserve confidentiality and privacy of patient information and records.
Participate in continuous quality improvement activities, projects and research activities as required.
Participate and assist in training including junior staff and medical graduates who are training in neurology department.
Participate in educational activities on a regular basis and incorporate advancements in the field of neurophysiology to clinical practice.
To Apply: To be considered for this position, you will demonstrate the below requirements in your CV and a 1-2 page cover letter: Bachelor of Science or Applied Science in a relevant discipline.
Certificate of practical competence or equivalent in neurophysiological testing.
Membership with an appropriate professional body e.g.
the Association of Neurophysiological Technologists of Australia (ANTA) or equivalent within Australian.
Previous experience working as a Neurophysiology scientist with sound knowledge of neurological anatomy, physiology and pathology.
Experience in performing diagnostic neurophysiology tests and procedures.
Experience in writing reports and managing data.
Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills and ability to build rapport and empathise with patients.
