Fixed Term Full Time, 40 hours per week + ADO 24 months About the Role Grampians Rural Health Alliance (GRHA) and Grampians Health (GH) are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, configure, and maintain their robust network and security infrastructure.
In this dynamic role, you'll collaborate closely with the Network Engineering Team and Network Manager to identify opportunities for network and security optimization.
Your insights will help GRHA/GH enhance and invest in its network capabilities.
You'll also play a key role in refining processes and documentation, ensuring the technical operations team delivers operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities Lead the Network Team's daily operations, allocate resources for BAU tasks, and manage 2nd/3rd level support in the absence of the Network Manager.
Design, configure, and manage enterprise networks, including firewalls, VPNs, routing, and wireless systems for improved performance and security.
Ensure network security by managing vulnerabilities, promoting best practices, and regularly reviewing network devices for confidentiality and availability.
Oversee service requests and incidents, working with providers to resolve issues and ensure quick restoration of network services.
Maintain technical documentation and improve departmental processes for service excellence and efficient service delivery.
Adhere to policies, ensure confidentiality, and promote diversity, supporting a patient-centred approach in line with Grampians Health values.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience Hold a Bachelor's degree in Networking/Communications or relevant experience as a network engineer or support technician, with hands-on knowledge of – Cisco or Fortinet Firewalls, Fortinet Switching, routing using OSPF and/or BGP & Enterprise Wireless Networks (Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet) Skilled in firewall design and administration, as well as complex BGP network configurations, troubleshooting faults, and resolving IT network and security issues.
Strong teamwork ethic and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service Demonstrated ability to develop network topologies and architectural documentation for multi-site networks and collaborate effectively with IT Managers across teams.
Experience managing voice/video infrastructure and data center networking.
