WorkPac is seeking a Network & Systems Officer to join our local government client in Capel.

Key Responsibilities will include:
Utilise the organisation's helpdesk tracking system for resolving and tracking IT requests and faults.
Assist in preparing helpdesk reporting and statistics.
Maintain IT systems, data, network security and integrity.
Effective maintenance of network and hardware systems.
Effective and timely implementation of systems and software.
Contribute to the planning, implementation, and review of the IT Plan and Corporate Business Plan to achieve organisational objectives.
Develop and maintain technical documentation and work instructions for the maintenance and operations of IT infrastructure and related business systems.
Assist with continuous improvement of the organisations general network security.
Skills & Experience Required:
High level IT experience in a similar work environment.
Specialist knowledge of LAN and WAN network configuration and design, Windows desktop environment, TCP/IP network, Microsoft Terminal Server, Exchange, and VMWare server virtualisation.
Database administration including disaster recovery planning and execution (SQL preferred).
Demonstrated understanding of contemporary Information Systems practices, policies, and procedures.
Documentation & report writing skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
C Class Drivers Licence.
