Advertised Vacancy Number: IPS/SS851240This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 3, 2024Katanning Senior High School (SHS) is seeking to appoint a motivated individual to fill the role of Network Support Officer and join their friendly team.About the roleThe successful applicant will maintain the school's Information Technology (IT) network to maximise both educational and administrative outcomes, within the Departmental asset management and security regulatory framework. They will provide advice to administration staff on technical issues associated with the network system.The successful applicant should have a strong background in Information and Communications Technology (ICT). They should have the ability to work proactively and autonomously and have the knowledge to identify and resolve software, hardware, and network related issues, providing solutions which ensure suitable outcomes. The ability to liaise confidently with numerous personnel within education and private enterprise is important in this role. To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements (selection criteria): Knowledge of network systems and platforms relevant to the operating environment.Analytical and problem-solving skills relevant to the operational maintenance of information technology networks.Organisational skills, including the ability to plan and implement data security procedures.Verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external clients.Practical experience in developing and implementing user-training procedures.
