We're looking for an experienced Network Support Engineer to join our Technology and Innovation team and help us ensure our network infrastructure is secure, stable, and continuously improving.In this key role, you will:Maintain Network Infrastructure: Manage routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points to ensure seamless performance.Troubleshoot & Resolve Issues: Quickly address network issues to minimise downtime and optimise efficiency.Configure & Install Solutions: Set up VPNs, VLANs, and QoS to enhance network performance.Enhance & Secure Systems: Regularly update and patch network systems for improved security and reliability.Collaborate & Innovate: Work with the IT team to design and implement cutting-edge network solutions.Document & Streamline: Maintain clear records of network changes, configurations, and procedures.Provide Support: Offer expert guidance via our virtual service desk to end-users and IT staff on network and IT related issues.Monitor Performance: Conduct regular performance tests and audits to ensure optimal network health.Ensure Security: Uphold network security policies and best practices.Stay Ahead of Trends: Keep up-to-date with the latest in network technologies and innovations.What can you expect?Join a dynamic team where you'll play a key role in maintaining MSWA's network infrastructure, supporting a purpose that makes a real difference.You'll be based at our Rivervale office, with the opportunity to travel across WA to various sites, both metro and regional, for on-site support and training.
The role offers a Monday to Friday work week, with flexibility to work one day remotely per week.
You'll be part of a collaborative, supportive team, working on exciting technology projects that will help you grow professionally.
While there is no on-call roster, you may be asked to assist after hours in the rare event of a major incident.A bit about you…You have hands-on experience as a Network Support Engineer or in a similar role.
You are skilled in troubleshooting, network diagnostics, and maintaining network security, and have a solid understanding of network infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls.
You're passionate about working with new technologies and are eager to continuously develop your skills.
Your ability to collaborate with team members and communicate clearly to non-technical users will make you a great fit for this role.To thrive in this position, you'll need:Certifications such as CCNA or CompTIA Network+.Experience managing network infrastructure, using diagnostic tools, and working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).Knowledge of network security protocols.Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to work independently or in a team.An added bonus:Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field.Experience with Palo Alto Prisma SASE, Prisma SD WAN, Cortex XDR, implementing and managing MDM technologies.Experience with VMWare Virtualisation and Server and SAN hardware.And the benefits?As a not-for-profit organisation, we offer generous salary packaging options—up to $18,550 can be packaged to cover living expenses, mortgage payments, or car leasing, reducing your taxable income.
