Apply now Job no: 493378 Work type: Full time Location: Wollongong Departments: Information Technology About the role: As a Network & Security Specialist, you will be involved in designing, building, implementing, and supporting network, IP Telephony, security, and wireless solutions, predominantly focused on Cisco platforms. You'll provide high-level technical support, troubleshoot network issues, and work closely with external vendors to ensure the best outcomes for the company. This role also involves 30% travel within Australia and possible out-of-hours or weekend work as required. Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, you will be responsible for: Manage and support the network including LAN, WAN, Cloud, Wireless and security appliances Administration of the companies IP Telephony system (Cisco CallManager, IPFX) Administration of the Switches, Routers, Firewalls & Wireless equipment Ensure procedures in a regulatory and compliance environment are being followed Monitoring network performance and reporting to ensure system availability and business continuity Troubleshooting network related issues providing both remote and onsite support Dealing directly with external vendors to ensure the best outcome for the company Carry out backups and preventative maintenance About you: To be the successful candidate, you will have: Working knowledge and troubleshooting of Cisco Routers, Switches & Firewalls Working knowledge and troubleshooting of Cisco Call Manager Knowledge of routing protocols such as EIGRP, BGP and Internet TCP/IP Services (DNS & DHCP) Experience with WAN\LAN technologies and related Network protocols Experience with Cisco Switches, Cisco Routers, Cisco Firewall and WIFI access point Knowledge of network monitoring tools (i.e. SolarWinds) A working knowledge of Disaster Recovery procedures Problem solving and creative thinking Delivering results and meeting customer expectations Creating documentation and procedures What we can offer you: At the WIN Network, we value our employees by offering a vast and varied array of benefits.
