About the role:
As a Network & Security Specialist, you will be involved in designing, building, implementing, and supporting network, IP Telephony, security, and wireless solutions, predominantly focused on Cisco platforms. You'll provide high-level technical support, troubleshoot network issues, and work closely with external vendors to ensure the best outcomes for the company. This role also involves 30% travel within Australia and possible out-of-hours or weekend work as required.
Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, you will be responsible for:
Manage and support the network including LAN, WAN, Cloud, Wireless and security appliancesAdministration of the companies IP Telephony system (Cisco CallManager, IPFX)Administration of the Switches, Routers, Firewalls & Wireless equipmentEnsure procedures in a regulatory and compliance environment are being followedMonitoring network performance and reporting to ensure system availability and business continuityTroubleshooting network related issues providing both remote and onsite supportDealing directly with external vendors to ensure the best outcome for the companyCarry out backups and preventative maintenanceAbout you:
To be the successful candidate, you will have:
Working knowledge and troubleshooting of Cisco Routers, Switches & FirewallsWorking knowledge and troubleshooting of Cisco Call ManagerKnowledge of routing protocols such as EIGRP, BGP and Internet TCP/IP Services (DNS & DHCP)Experience with WAN\LAN technologies and related Network protocolsExperience with Cisco Switches, Cisco Routers, Cisco Firewall and WIFI access pointKnowledge of network monitoring tools (i.e. SolarWinds)A working knowledge of Disaster Recovery proceduresProblem solving and creative thinkingDelivering results and meeting customer expectationsCreating documentation and proceduresWhat we can offer you:
