About the engagement:
Green Light Australia are currently seeking an
Fortinet Consultant (NSE4/NSE7)
who will become the "trusted advisor" for requirements in the Infrastructure space and you will be heavily involved in the development of procedures. The position is to provide oversight and deliver technology strategy and architecture across the whole enterprise and to develop the broader architecture community and infrastructure architecture practice.
The ideal person will be a natural leader and will lead and own technical design in implementation of technical solutions. Ensures quality technical solutions and drive towards the highest levels of customer satisfaction and improvement in professional standards.
Responsibilities:
Maintain overall architecture ownership and governance for all the solutions within a particular customer environment.
Lead and deliver consulting services when required, including development of High Level Designs, Low Level Designs, Site Migration Plans.
Lead communication of technology architecture and provide continuous improvement of infrastructure and broader architecture practice.
Review and contribute to the applications migration and transformation plan.
Architecture Governance - Architecture impact analysis, review and approval of concept and solution architectures and designs, Architecture guidance to projects and delivery teams.
Creation and continuous improvement of Architectural policies and procedures.
Develop usable enterprise wide strategies, roadmaps, and architecture-level designs that articulate the strategy, roadmap and/or solution that meet the needs of a consumption based service model.
Define, document and socialise appropriate capability models spanning the Enterprise Architecture framework, including: business processes, functions, information, applications and technology infrastructure.
Experience with one or more architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Archimate, UML) will be highly regarded.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the design, implementation in complex enterprise infrastructure environments.
Experience in taking customers on a journey through transformation.
Requirements:
Demonstrable security experience in Fortigate.
A strong understanding of TCP/IP networking in regards to servers, routers, firewalls, applications and experience managing and configuring FortiGate.
Upgrade the managed Fortinet firewalls to up-to-date and common version 5.2.9.
Ideally ITIL certified and hold vendor qualifications such as Fortigate.
Experience and/or knowledge of the following key technologies:
Fortigate UTM.
Install/Configure Firemon tool.
Work on Firewall ruleset files and prepare for audit.
Install/Configure Fortinet firewalls.
Perform setup, integrate with Fortinet Management.
Test the connection.
Inputs to the Technical Design documentation.
Provide overall project governance and guidance.
Input into the planning and design.
Validate all the components required to form end to end solution.
Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
Consulting, stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
