As a Network Planning Engineer (Electricity Grid), your role will involve short to long-term power system planning and development of Jemena's electricity network to deliver safe, reliable, affordable energy and sustainable performance for all customers.Key Responsibilities will include:Perform power system assessment, network development options, and scope preparation for major customer connection projects.Strategic area planning using probabilistic planning, risk and cost-benefit economic evaluation assessments, and report writing and presentations.Perform power system feasibility study assessments.Prepare Regulatory Investment Tests (RIT-D) and contribute to the Distribution Annual Planning Report and Transmission Connection Planning Report preparation.Technical assessment of load and embedded generation connection projects.A Little About You:Experience in the electrical industry with asset management experience.Proficiency in using electricity network power system software such as PSS/E and/or PSCAD.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise and influence both internal and external stakeholders.Knowledge of the regulatory framework, its obligations, and instruments (such as NER, EDCoP, Australian Standards).Tertiary qualifications and/or higher in Electrical Engineering (power system discipline is desirable).Why You Should Come and Work for Us:Our people are our energy source, and we offer meaningful benefits and rewards that work for you.
