About the roleReporting to the Head of Performance, this role will work closely with a team of analysts and change management specialists within our Operational Performance team to manage data quality and provide insights to support continuous improvement across V/Line.
This role will work with a large variety of data sets, and supports a diverse range of stakeholders both within the Operations division and key partners across the broader organisation.
There will be opportunity to work on the day-to-day operational data including data validation or cleansing, while also supporting the development of reports and presentations for senior leaders to enable effective data driven decision making.
Key AccountabilitiesAnalysing existing timetables and the success of continuous improvement initiatives.Supporting V/Line's daily performance review process.Undertaking detailed data analysis of operational trends and providing summary reports to management.Leading the coordination and monitoring of performance improvement priorities within the Performance team.About youYou have at least 1-2 years' experience as a data analyst and have a passion to learn or develop your rail industry knowledge.
Our ideal candidate will possess the following:Experience with translating technical data into clear and understandable insights, reports or executive briefs is essential.Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal are a must.A passion for technology, with experience with the Microsoft office suite including PowerBi, Teams, SharePoint, Excel and PowerPoint.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work through ambiguous problems in a structured manner.Adaptability and a willingness to learn and grow within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Alignment to V/Line's values of responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability, respect, leadership and human rights.In addition to free myki travel, we offer:

Work in a way that supports you to thrive in your role.The salary for this role is CLERK C4 ($49.9140 per hour) in accordance with the current V/Line Rail Operations and Administrative Employees Agreement 2023.
