We have an exciting opportunity for a Network Infrastructure Project Manager to join our wonderful IT Department here at Iceland Foods.
The Infrastructure and Network Project Manager is responsible for managing projects that involve implementing and upgrading IT infrastructure and network systems. This role ensures the smooth execution of projects while balancing technical requirements, business goals, and stakeholder expectations.
This is critical for Iceland's operation as we rely on robust and secure IT infrastructure, ensuring systems are scalable, reliable, and aligned with strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities Project Planning and ExecutionDeliver initiatives that enhance or maintain the organization's IT systems.Develop a structured approach to managing resources, schedules, risks, and technical requirements.Handle multiple projects at the same time.Network Systems ManagementLead projects such as network upgrades and optimisation, bandwidth upgrades, Wi-Fi network deployments/upgrades, network security enhancements, backups and redundancy, and hardware refreshes, all geared towards maintaining operational efficiency and enabling businesses to adapt to evolving technological needs.Risk and Change ManagementIdentify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.Adapt to evolving project requirements while maintaining business continuity during infrastructure transitions or upgrades.Skills and Qualifications Technical Knowledge Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components.Some experience with networking protocols, devices, and systems (e.g. routers, switches, firewalls).Project Management Skills Proficiency in frameworks like Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid methodologies.
