What we are looking for:
Digital61 is passionate about focusing on simplicity, mobility and security to help customers achieve their goals. We are currently seeking an experienced Lead Network Engineer focused on Infrastructure and Cloud to drive new projects with our clients.
As our clients are primarily government, you will need to be an Australian Citizen who either holds a security clearance or can obtain one.
About you:
You will be innovative, keeping up to date with the latest technologies and embrace working with a company who supports your continuous training and development. It is expected you will have strong stakeholder and relationship management skills and experience working for an ICT service provider previously. Your focus needs to be at a high level, but should have the technical background to understand down in the weeds and provide guidance and knowledge transfer to senior and junior engineers.
The role primary duties are as follows, so relevant skills/experience should be aligned:
Assist to develop the business strategy for Digital 61 with a particular focus on the Networking business
Execute the business strategy in relation to the Networking business
Supervise the work of managers and employees, providing feedback and counsel to improve simplicity, efficiency and effectiveness
Mentor pre-sales employees to develop a professional and expert pre-sales team
Mentor employees to develop professional and expert delivery
Gather, analyze and interpret external and internal data and write reports
Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to executive stakeholders
Represent the company in events, conferences etc.
Identify and grow opportunities and collaborate with sales teams to ensure growth attainment
Maintain, build and leverage relationships with partners/vendors/suppliers
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
Develop comprehensive solutions (conceptual and high level) to address customer requirements and successfully win new business.
Lead and assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
Assist with high severity requests or issue escalations as needed
Essential Technical Skills: In-depth technical skills covering the breadth of networking technologies and capabilities with relevant aligned industry certifications:
Switching and routing
Gateway and firewalls
Application delivery controllers and load balancing
VPN
Proxy – traditional and distributed
SD-WAN
Cloud networking including ExpressRoute, Direct Connect and peering
Wifi
