The Internal Services Branch is responsible for managing the Service Centre, Application Support, Quality Assurance and Testing, ICT Projects, the Finance IT Environment, and its supporting technology.
The Finance IT Environment team within the Internal Services Branch provides and manages the technology and infrastructure that enables the Department's business needs. The focus of the team is to provide a central technical team that provides ICT services to Finance and the technical oversight of services provisioned by the Department's ICT partners.
Functions include:
provision and management of Finance PROTECTED network (including on-premise and cloud environment)provision of secure access to the internetmanagement of Finance's telephony system2nd/3rd level ICT support across Finance's line of business applicationsprovision of secure ICT user account managementFinance IP and Disk network provision and supportcorporate information and data file storageICT backup and disaster recovery systemsthe technical oversight of the department's desktop email and unified communications servicesdata centre management. ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The role of the ITE Network Engineer will include:
technical support for the on-premise and cloud network environments and project engagementsinput to the design, deployment and maintenance of Data, Voice, Video, Wireless and Multicast servicestroubleshooting, incident and problem management support associated with ITE servicestechnical support and administration of various network monitoring toolsinput on system availability, capacity planning, usability and performance managementinput on technical roadmaps and service improvement activitiesadvice on best practice implementation and security compliance of the Network Infrastructure
On call and after-hours support may be required on occasion.
