This opportunity is for a 12-month fixed term contract.You'll join a high performing team that is supportive and collaborative, with a focus on both technical discipline and continuous improvement.What does it mean to be a Network Data Officer with Energy Queensland?
Well, you'll be responsible for processing data information changes to our transmission and distribution networks.
Your ability to interpret electrical diagrams and designs, in conjunction with your investigative and critical thinking skills, will be key to Energy Queensland's continued success and growth.Our Network Data team are located across the state.
You can be based at one of our offices in either Brisbane, Toowoomba, Rockhampton, Mackay, Townsville, or Cairns, so regardless of what major QLD hub you are in, you will have team support nearby.Amplify your impact – you will:Create, manage, and update various databases which contain spatial and non-spatial network information to maintain and improve the quality and alignment of the network assets.Input key data sets for geospatial and electrical connectivity by using the geographical information system (GIS), asset management system, and other corporate databases.Interact with a range of internal stakeholders to conduct activities such as investigating data discrepancies or capturing the as-constructed network plan to reflect spatial changes and/or asset attributes.With a 9-day fortnight (with one rostered day off every fortnight) in place, the bottom of the salary band starts from $128,919 + 14.75% superannuation.For a comprehensive list of key accountabilities, knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this role, please click on the position description link located at the bottom of the page.What's On Offer?At Energy Queensland, we believe in supporting every aspect of your career and personal life.

You may also have an electrical trade background or hold relevant qualifications, but this is not essential.This role would suit a range of different skillsets and experiences: you may have an electrical trade background or could have been in an electrical design or data-driven role.We'd also love you to have:A good understanding of electrical connectivity and electrical construction standards.In-depth knowledge of transmission and distribution electrical networks.The ability to interpret and understand electrical designs, large quantities of data, and the ability to create solutions even when information may be missing.Finally, you are someone who has:Proven capability to investigate and use critical thinking to solve problems.Ability to manage competing priorities to still deliver results.
