Network Cyber Security Specialist

Our client is a large government department based in Brisbane, and they currently have a need for a Network Security Engineer to join them on an initial 6 month contract + possible extensions. This role is based in Brisbane CBD + flexible WFH on offer.
Responsibilities: Experience with Cloud infrastructure and Operational tasks; including AWS and Azure Experience with Infrastructure as Code via tools such as Terraform, Gitlab, Ansible or equivalent Experience with Vulnerability management products and strategies Experience with Application whitelisting/management products and techniques Experience with Security management products, Endpoint and perimeter; e.g. Proofpoint, Carbon Black, Defender, Sentinel, Splunk, Palo Alto, F5 Experience in hardening of user accounts in active directory environment. Requirements: Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience within a Network Security role within large and complex environments A sound understanding of TCP/IP and networking concepts Understanding of Cyber security frameworks; ASD Essential 8, IS18, ISO27001 Understanding of global Cyber Security trends, attack vectors and techniques Demonstrated experience within complex ICT environments Strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to communicate security concepts to non-technical audiences both verbally and in writing.
