The Role As the Network Solution Designer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing network (data, voice, and Io T) solutions that meet the needs of G'day Group. You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure the network architecture supports business objectives, is scalable, secure, and aligns with industry standards. You will lead the design, development, and deployment of comprehensive network solutions. Your Responsibilities Design Network Solutions: Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance network architectures for enterprise environments. Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams during the design, implementation, and integration of network solutions. Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business and technical requirements to ensure solutions align with organizational objectives. Vendor and Technology Evaluation: Evaluate and recommend new networking technologies, hardware, and services that align with long-term business needs. Network Security: Ensure network designs incorporate robust security protocols and are compliant with relevant standards and policies. Capacity Planning and Performance Optimization: Oversee capacity planning, performance monitoring, and optimization efforts to ensure network stability and efficiency. Documentation and Standards: Develop and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, including diagrams, policies, and standards for network architecture. Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams, vendors, and clients to ensure seamless integration of network solutions. Troubleshooting and Support: Act as a subject matter expert during network incidents and provide advanced troubleshooting for complex network issues. Stay Current with Emerging Technologies: Maintain knowledge of emerging networking technologies, trends, and best practices, and apply these insights to continuously improve network architecture. Your Experience Tertiary Qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a relevant field, combined with extensive experience in network design and architecture. You will have a strong understanding of network technologies, including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, MPLS, wireless networks, and cloud networking. You will have hands-on experience in Cisco, Ubiquiti, Salto, and other major network providers. By bringing a high level of energy, self-motivation, decisiveness, initiative, flexibility, and attention to detail to G'day Group, together with your naturally upbeat and open communication style, you will fit our cultural values. You will have a highly organized mindset, with the ability to assess the urgency of work allocated to you by various stakeholders while working closely with our established IT Team.
