About the Role:
We are currently looking for our next technically driven and motivated Network Access Planner to join our Network Control Centre (NCC) team based at our Glen Waverley head office with flexible work hours and location opportunities.

Reporting to the Network Access Manager you will have a direct influence on the efficient and safe provision of the operational planning function and staff on the United Energy distribution network.
This network critical role is predominately responsible for switching operations across the network including assessing, prioritising and accepting applications for planned access to the sub-transmission, distribution and LV network.
You will also produce switching instructions in DMS (Distribution Management System), providing safe access to the Network, whilst providing technical operational advice to all stakeholders.

What you'll deliver:
Develop and implement sub transmission, HV and LV switching instructions, ensuring system analysis to determine outage requirements.
Ensure UE customers are notified of planned outages under strict regulatory and OH&S regulations.
Liaise and negotiate with both stakeholders and customers regarding planned outages to help ensure customer satisfaction and Network impact.
Focus on risk management, contingency plans, clear and concise advice and ensure switching is operating in a timely and safe manner.
To succeed in this role, you'll have:
Certificate of Technology (Electrical) /Certificate IV Electrical/Associate or Advanced Diploma Electrical Engineering or equivalent tertiary based qualification.
Sound experience in the operation of Sub Transmission, Distribution HV & LV Networks, and working experience of VESI and company operating procedures, practices and outage planning.
Knowledge and understanding of construction, maintenance and testing activities associated with an electrical network including protection and control schemes.
Working understanding of VESI & Company Operating procedures, practices and outage planning.
Strong IT system experience, attention to detail, high customer service and communication skills, and the ability to successfully work within a high performing team.
