About the role
The Developer .NET/SQL is accountable for coordinating and undertaking the planning and delivery of business and technical systems analysis and development programs and services to scope, design, develop and contribute to several enhancements to TAFE SA systems.
The role will coordinate and undertake the planning, delivery and review of customisation and internal enhancement projects that will require the ability to identify the best way to solution outcomes, solve problems and develop a robust and user-friendly solution for our users.
Working in a diverse team, the successful candidate will provide expert guidance, coding skills and support in developing outcomes and solutions through TAFE SA's Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Essential to this role:
Business and technical systems development: Extensive experience in coordinating and undertaking the planning and delivery of business and technical systems analysis and development programs, projects and services including developing, implementing, and reviewing available and reliable ICT applications and solutions.
High proficiency in technologies and tools: Significant experience working with C#, .NET, CSS, XML/XSLT, and MS SQL, and using Visual Studio as an IDE and Git as a code repository, or equivalent software.
Experience with Blazor, Azure or DevOps would be highly regarded.
Skilled in Technical Support: Demonstrated ability to provide level 2/3 technical support, troubleshooting issues, and guiding technical teams in resolving incidents.
Proficient in Stakeholder Engagement and Management: High level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills partnered with a significant capacity to influence and create trust with management and staff at all levels, negotiate successful outcomes and convey complex concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Expert at development methodologies: In-depth knowledge of solution development methodologies and technologies, SDLC, contemporary development and testing methodologies and tools, and knowledge of relevant government policy and TAFE SA procedures.
Highly adaptable and resourceful: Proven ability to quickly learn new technologies, adapt to change, and effectively identify, configure, and resolve complex ICT and business challenges through thorough investigation, analysis, innovation, research and consultation.
Self-motivated and outcome-driven: Demonstrated ability to work under limited direction, either independently or within a team, to identify performance outcomes, review operations, effectively determine priorities, plan and organise work and use judgement and delegated authority to perform complex technical tasks to achieve results.
Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal Culture and Community.

Special Conditions
The successful applicant is required to demonstrate having a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) prior to being employed.
Applicants who do not hold a WWCC will need to apply at Department of Human Services (DHS).
This role's location is currently Site Specific, which may change due to the business needs of the role and the business needs of TAFE SA.
Out of hours work will be required.
Some intra/interstate travel and overnight absences may be required.
Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Development Program.
