About the role:
Be part of the engineering team responsible for the Payrix Integrated Systems, with involvement in all aspects of the development, operation, delivery, and maintenance of these systems.
What you'll own
Expand and evolve our current systems with new functions, features, services, and infrastructure. Gain a technical understanding of existing applications and products to provide effective support for technical queries, troubleshooting, bug fixes, and patches. Be responsible for working on mission-critical systems that require 99.95% uptime. Perform various DevOps activities , including database and infrastructure administration, with monitoring and performance tracking using a variety of tools and services. Work collaboratively as part of a small team, working in an agile and fast-paced way, where each member is involved in all aspects of the software development lifecycle. Be self-motivated with the ability to operationally take ownership of your assigned projects and complete tasks without constant supervision. Participate in a scheduled on-call roster for handling emergency system issues. Create and maintain technical documentation within Confluence. Other related duties assigned as needed. What you bring
10+ years experience working as a professional full-stack software developer. Extensive experience developing with the Microsoft .NET Framework using C#, including both old and new editions of the platform (.NET Framework 4.7.2, .NET Core 3.1, and .NET 6.0). Extensive experience with SQL Server, highly skilled with T-SQL and stored procedures, and with experience in general database administration including familiarity with advanced features such as replication and query optimization. Ability to work on a wide range of application types including website frontend, web service APIs (SOAP/WCF and JSON-based REST APIs), background services, and automated processing systems. Familiarity with scalable architectures such as event-driven and messaging-based approaches. Proficient with automated testing including the different types of automated tests and how they should be applied to ensure proper coverage of code wherever practicable. Ability to critically analyze system issues and formulate sensible solutions. Able to take a methodical approach to problem-solving with due attention to detail. Have a strong pride in the quality of your work with a commitment to delivering high-quality, fault-tolerant, and efficient code. A drive and passion to self-learn, with a keenness for keeping informed about the latest coding techniques and recent technological developments relevant to the projects being worked on. Training and experience with Microsoft Azure – CI/CD, Infrastructure, Networking, Apps, etc. Desired Skills / Experience
