A day in the life…
Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for driving optimal performance and promoting continuous improvement to ensure your production lines operate smoothly and successfully. Key responsibilities include:
Lead, coach and manage the team to excel in achieving line standards associated with production runs and the standard conditions & routines associated with Safety & the 4M's (Man, Machine, Method, Material).
Ensure continuous line controls & immediate corrective action (initiating problem solving as applicable).
Achieve a "zero injury, defect, waste" mindset & promote behaviours that have a positive impact on Safety Health Environment & Quality.
Lead implementation of SHE & QA objectives, practices and procedures.
Ensure compliance to Nestlé and external requirements.
Ensure maintenance reliability of installations in coordination with quality, engineering & administration.
Contribute to the smooth operation of the factory through effective employee and industrial relations management.
Excel in systems & administration e.g., rostering, KRONOS, DMO, SAP etc.
What will make you successful
Strong team leader with a drive to deliver quality outcomes with efficiency and a passion for continuous process improvement.
Minimum 3+ years previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role, ideally within a FMCG production environment.
Possess knowledge in food manufacturing or degree/Diploma in Food sciences or engineering.
Experience in change management and exposure to continuous improvement techniques.
Demonstrated ability to lead, train and develop a group of people.
Excellent people management skills, with a continuous improvement mindset and demonstrable experience in leading and engaging a team to motivate and enhance performance.
Strong communication, negotiation, problem solving, analysis, and decision-making abilities.
