Our client, a Global Oil and Gas Operator in Perth CBD, is currently seeking a Development Senior Contracts Engineer for a 3-year fixed term contract.
Responsible for the wide range of contract management activities for Projects Onshore AGRU and CCS Project under the supervision of the Manager Project Controls.

10 to 15 years of demonstrated experience in Construction Project and EPC ITT development and tender evaluation process.
10 to 15 years of demonstrated day-to-day management of construction Project contracts including management of changes.
Lead communications/negotiations with contractors/vendors.
Manage necessary approval processes.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Achieve cost savings through the contract management process.
Develop contracting strategies.
Manage contract tender stage including prequalification, ITT preparation, issue, receipt, opening and assessment of tenders and approval process.
Negotiate with Contractor on tender qualifications and exceptions during tender evaluation.
Ensure contracts are monitored and regularly reported to Contracts Manager to identify potential future variations.
Ensure commercial and contractual correspondence with Contractor is efficiently handled.
Ensure changes to contract/scope of work are managed in accordance with Company procedures – management of CO/COI/COR/Claim/Trend/Letter.
Manage necessary approval processes (COI/COR/CO/RFA/RFV).
Develop documents for internal and external approval process (PQP/PP/RFA/RFV).
Monitor vendor performance and maintain positive vendor relationships.
Ensure market trend investigation and benchmark activity within the industry is efficiently performed.
Manage contract documents in the system.
Ensure confidentiality of contract documents is maintained.
Contribute to cost trend activities/meetings with cost preparation of documents for presentation to Contracts Committee and various JVP approval committees in a timely manner.
Lead and/or contribute to other Project Management functions/activities such as cost control (final cost forecasting), planning, engineering, project admin etc.
Oversee work by observing and verifying the progress.
Responsible for assigning workload to Contracts Engineers and internal stakeholders.
Administration of legal issues (including damages, claims, disputes and litigations).
Contribute to other project controls functions (i.e.
Cost control).
Key Skills and Experience Required: 10 to 15 years of experience in preparation/development/management of Major Project Contracts including development of Contract Strategy, preferably in Oil & Gas business including upstream project(s).
In-depth understanding of EPC and Project contracts.
Excellent communication/negotiation skills.
