We are currently recruiting an Offshore Trainer & Assessor for a Major Global Energy Operator on an initial 12-month contract with potential to extend.
This role will be based in Perth on a (3 weeks on / 3 weeks off) rotational roster on the client's offshore facility in Western Australia with occasional visits to the Perth office.
The purpose of the Offshore Assessor is to assist in the development and competence assurance of Production and Maintenance personnel on the client's assets.
The Offshore Assessor will also co-ordinate the training and assessment schedule for Production Technicians, Maintenance Technicians, Apprentices and Trainees.
The client's project is the first of its kind in the Oil & Gas industry combining sub-sea wells tied back to a Floating Liquefied Natural Gas facility which encompasses gas processing and liquefaction through to LNG/LPG/Condensate storage and offloading, with the entire supporting marine and utilities requirements.
Key Duties:
Communication and collaboration with the Trainer Assessors, Team Leaders, Offshore Installation Manager, Production Technicians, Maintenance Technicians, Contractors, Apprentices, Trainees, Capability Manager and the client's Learning Team.
Lead by example in the fields of HSSE, Diversity and Inclusion, and Social Performance.
Be a leader in having a Process Safety focus in assessment activities.
Lead the Competency Assurance and reassurance for Technicians.
Schedule, communicate and conduct any required assessment of Technicians, Apprentices and Trainees for their role.
Lead the internal validation, coaching and assurance of the client's process and line assessors to ensure high integrity of competence assurance.
Ensure compliance with all Competence Assurance requirements and FLBM (Frontline Barrier Management) standards.
Ensure compliance with any regulations and standards, including those set by AQF / NSSC qualifications and competence assurance.
