This full-time role is essential for maintaining and servicing our inventory of mooring components.Key Responsibilities:Perform detailed magnetic particle inspection of mooring equipment in compliance with industry standards and internal proceduresPerform visual inspection of mooring equipmentAccurately and diligently compile reports on the condition and serviceability of mooring equipmentPerform calibration of equipmentMaintain accurate records of NDT equipment for calibration and reporting requirementsConduct repairs to mooring equipment in compliance with industry standards and manufacturer requirementsComply with regulatory and customer requirementsAssist in the certification renewal process of mooring equipment in accordance with DNV and ABS standardsCleaning and maintaining equipment as instructed by the Base Manager or delegateMeet deadlines associated with equipment mobilisationUpdating and maintaining the asset management system, where requiredSupport the Base Manager with yard activities, including equipment maintenance, mobilization and demobilizationParticipate in operations offshore as requiredEnsure procedures and best work practices are being followed throughout the inspection, installation and maintenance processEnsuring high standards of housekeeping are maintained at all Delmar worksitesIdentify hazards and assess the risks associated with tasks relevant to the role and mitigate those risks to ALARPImplement the Stop Work Authority for situations where an activity is considered unsafeContribute to building a culture of continuous improvement of safety and qualityQualifications and Skills:AINDT, PCN or equivalent ISO 9712 Level 2 certification in magnetic particle testingMinimum of 2 years' experience performing magnetic particle inspection preferredKnowledge of industry standards such as API RP 2I and DNV-RU-OU-0300 preferredNDT experience in industrial background; marine oil and gas industry preferredStrong understanding of schematic diagrams and assembly drawingsAbility to understand technical manualsGeneral computer and office suite skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Experience with safe handling and operation of power toolsForklift Experience and Qualification preferredFamiliarity with offshore safety guidelines, DNV-GL, and ABS certification processes preferredSelf-motivated with robust organizational and problem-solving skills.Effective communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly and concisely.Willingness to travel and work in offshore environments.Location:This position is based in Australia, with options for Karratha-based employment or a Fly-In Fly-Out (FIFO) arrangement (3 weeks on, 3 weeks off). Opportunities for national and international travel are available.Training and Reporting:The NDT Technician will report directly to the Base Manager / Inspection Supervisor.
