Position: NDIS Support Worker Location: South Burnett   Pay Rate: $41.52 – $44.68 per hour (depending on skills and qualifications) + not-for-profit salary packaging Assignment: 6 months, with a possibility of going permanent after 6 months. Maxima's Recruitment Services is currently seeking highly motivated individuals for the position of NDIS Support Worker for one of our clients. Our client: Is a not-for-profit organisation committed to providing support to disadvantaged individuals across the community. Their services range from Foster Care and Youth & Family Services to Disability Services, all delivered with the participant at the forefront of their mission. Key Responsibilities: As a Support Coordinator, you'll play a pivotal role in assisting individuals with disabilities in navigating the complexities of the NDIS. Your primary responsibilities will include collaborating with participants, families, and stakeholders to achieve their NDIS goals, connecting them with relevant support services, and empowering them to independently coordinate their supports. The Support Coordinator will advocate for participants to ensure their needs align with their NDIS plans, fostering effective communication between all stakeholders. They will facilitate meetings and coordinate with service providers to maximise participant outcomes and budget management. Regular monitoring of participant progress will be conducted, with adjustments made to support strategies as necessary. Accurate record-keeping of participant interactions will be maintained in compliance with organisational and legislative requirements. Through these efforts, the Support Coordinator will empower individuals with disabilities to navigate the NDIS system confidently and achieve their goals. Requirements: Qualifications in disability services or related fields Industry experience in Support Coordination or case management Strong interpersonal and communication skills Excellent organizational and time management abilities Commitment to promoting the rights and inclusion of people with disabilities. Queensland Open Driver's License First Aid and CPR Certificates (or ability to acquire) Working with Children Blue Card NDIS Worker Screening Check Benefits of joining Maxima's temporary recruitment services: Competitive salary and benefits package.
