About the role: The NDIS Plan Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial administration of NDIS participants' plans. This includes monitoring the participant's budget, invoicing for client services, managing external payments and ensuring compliance with NDIS regulations and pricing guidelines. This role is crucial in providing participants with regular financial reports and guidance and will help them to maximize the benefits of their NDIS funding. Additionally, the Plan Manager ensures that all services are processed efficiently and aligns spending with the participant's approved NDIS plan.
To be successful in this role, you will possess the following: Must have a minimum Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged and/or Disability), or the willingness to obtain within the first 3 months of employment.Expert knowledge and understanding of the NDIS and its requirements including mandatory reporting, Quality and Safeguards, NDIS Price Guide and relevant legislations.Ability to use organisational skills and initiative to improve process efficiencies.Ability to work unsupervised and prioritise own workloads to meet deadlines.Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders, including NDIS participants, their family, staff, and healthcare professionals.A demonstrated team player, who can effectively and positively contribute to a team.Experience in computerised accounting functions and accounts management. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Word, Excel and Outlook) and an ability to learn new software.A current C Class Drivers Licence, with the ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.It would be desirable if you also possessed: First Aid and CPR qualifications, or the willingness to obtain.Other relevant or related tertiary qualifications. Previous experience living and/or working in a remote First Nations community within Australia. Demonstrated high level of cross-cultural awareness to ensure effective participation in a cross-cultural workplace.Awareness of issues affecting First Nations People in Australia. All employment with EARC is subject to the successful completion of a Criminal History Check and the ability to obtain a Working with Children Clearance. Criminal history will not exclude an applicant unless it is relevant to the position. Employees working within EARC's Aged Care and Disability Services must also have, or be able to obtain and maintain, a current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.  The preferred applicant must be prepared to travel and work for short periods in remote communities by various means, including boat and light aircraft.  A full Position Description may be obtained by visiting our website.   What you'll get in return: Full Time Permanent employment.
Level 5 - Salary $82,893 - $88,036 (excluding superannuation contributions and Locality Allowance) with annual wage increase opportunities built into our EBA.
You will also benefit from 6 weeks of Annual Leave with 17.5% leave loading.
Housing and Relocation Assistance are not available with this role. Access to housing in the Darwin region is a must for the successful candidate.
