The NDIA is seeking experienced leaders to join the Agency as EL2 Program Director in the First Nations Group.
The First Nations Group takes the lead in the NDIA's efforts to enhance access and outcomes for First Nations people with disabilities.

Program Directors lead transformative change in the disability sector by influencing policies, systems, and practices to achieve positive and meaningful outcomes for First Nations communities throughout Australia.
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:Leading the facilitation of culturally safe environments for First Nations peoples and engaging effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.Building and maintaining relationships with First Nations communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to manage successful project and/or policy development and implementation.Identifying and driving business improvement initiatives to enhance the quality and performance of outcomes for First Nations peoples.Leading teams to deliver high-quality projects and policy initiatives, ensuring timely preparation and submission of accurate reports and briefs.Enough about us, let's talk about you
This position is perfect for a leader who is passionate about equity, justice, and the well-being of First Nations peoples, along with a strong background in navigating and influencing policy.
This position requires strong skills in policy development and/or project management, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.Your NDIA Experience
You will work for a socially inclusive and culturally diverse workplace, that is making a meaningful impact to the lives of more than 600,000 Australians.This role can be performed nationally.
We intend to fill this role in an ongoing capacity, however non-ongoing roles up to 12 months with the possibility of extension up to 2 years may be offered.Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, Worker Screening check and/or Working with Children Check (where required) and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.Applications for this role close on 2 December 2024 at 11:30 pm AEDT.
