The position will be primarily located at Nepean Hospital within the Department of Mental Health but provides a service across the Nepean Hospital campus. The Mental Health Service actively encourages diversity and inclusion within the workforce and welcomes applications from people of all backgrounds including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people living with disability, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and people who identify as LGBTQIA+, people with lived experience of mental health concerns, and people of mature age.Successful applicants will draw on a biopsychosocial cultural and spiritual frame and work with an interdisciplinary team to provide care to consumers who present to physical health/general hospital settings with mental health concerns. Activities include assessment, care recommendations, support of the primary team and stakeholder engagement, and disposition planning. Candidates should possess or demonstrate that they are working toward the CL Advance Training.The number of sessions will be based on 0.7FTE over a two-week period and appointees will be required to participate in the consultant on-call roster. Session allocation will consider service need.
