Role Overview: Reporting to the General Manager for the Region, this role involves overseeing and leading a medium to large-sized business (90+ personnel) in a single shift manufacturing operation. This fast-paced and outcome-driven environment includes sales, administration, design and estimating, production, logistics, and installation services.
Your mandate is to proactively grow the company's State Profit Centre in line with strategy and objectives related to revenue, margin, profitability, and market share. This entails leading, developing, training, coaching, managing, and collaborating with your Leadership Team (Sales, Manufacturing, Customer Service, Estimation, Field Service). You will foster a culture that encourages ownership, resilience, initiative, and problem-solving. You will support all key stakeholders (internal and external) to ensure sales and customer service, product quality, DIFOT, OH & S policy, engineering, maintenance & reliability, installations, project management, and continuous improvement of all processes and systems, including lean manufacturing principles.
Ideal Candidate: The ideal Executive will be a proven Senior Manager, Profit Centre / GM / State or Branch Manager with experience leading and managing medium+ sized teams/businesses in a manufacturing (made to order), sales, and distribution environment in the building industry. You will have tertiary qualifications (technical or business) and demonstrate strong leadership and people management skills, strategic and analytical thinking, commercial savvy, strong sales and operations skills, solid financial acumen, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, IT literacy (Excel, ERP systems), organization, discipline, resilience, professionalism, and a passion for driving continuous improvement. Salary is commensurate with experience.
