Natural Food Market / Health Food Store ManagerA great opportunity exists to mix your love of retail management with your passion for natural health, beauty and nutrition. We seek an experienced full-time Grocery Store Manager to join our team based in Paddington, Sydney. Part Time would also be considered.
Job Scope:Manage the store through its next stage of growth and development by growing the current range of products including establishing an organic produce section and an organic coffee and smoothie bar.Oversee plus hands on servicing of practitioners, trade and retail customers by providing our range of over 5,000 natural health and beauty products in a retail grocery store environment.Plan, budget, develop KPIs to achieve a healthy bottom line.5 days per week including one day on the weekend.Manage day to day operational requirements of re-stocking, pricing and merchandising the store shelves and serving customers (re-ordering of sold stock is completely automated).Schedule and supervise 3-4 employees.Achieve financial objectives by working in line with a sales and wages budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.Provide us with customer, sales and operational feedback and ideas to continuously improve.Develop competitive promotional pricing policies, determining additional store level sales promotion required; authorizing clearance sales; studying trends.Skills and Qualifications:Grocery retail management experience is essential.Familiar with tracking budget expenses, pricing, staffing.Results driven with a proven track record in a grocery store environment.An understanding of practitioner and retail health products is desirable but not essential as we have qualified people on staff.You are a positive person able to believe that challenges are only a decision away from a solution.You are able to communicate at many levels while being understanding and decisive.Above all you should resonate with what we do, our values and goals.Who are we and what do we offer?Well I Am is a relatively newly opened store in Oxford St, Paddington based on a wholefood/natural food market concept. We now seek to expand to the next stage by adding organic fruit and veg and a hole in the wall/window coffee and smoothie bar plus a Natural Therapies clinic upstairs to realise a complete Wellness Centre.
For a manager who can drive growth to the next stage and maintain a positive bottom line, we are prepared to pay above award and market rates.
