The Role

In this role, you will engage in diverse and complex legal work that sets industry standards.
You will collaborate with a partner to provide advisory and transactional support for clients in sectors such as mining, petroleum, energy, government, infrastructure, and telecommunications, as well as traditional owner groups across Australia.
Key responsibilities include: Advising on native title future acts and Aboriginal cultural heritage for major projects.Representing clients in native title claims in the Federal Court.Conducting due diligence related to native title, Aboriginal cultural heritage, and land for developments and acquisitions.Managing mining and petroleum tenement transactions and joint ventures.Representing clients in land access negotiations and litigation.Providing guidance on compliance for mine and gas field developments.The Expertise

You have significant experience advising on native title, Aboriginal cultural heritage, and land matters, with a strong passion for negotiation.
Regulatory knowledge of Australian mining and petroleum regimes is preferred.
You possess excellent analytical, communication, drafting, and research skills, along with a commitment to client service and cultural sensitivity.
Strong relationship management abilities and a collaborative team focus are essential.
You are also enthusiastic about participating in business development activities and cultivating strategic industry relationships.
