Exciting Opportunity: National Work Health and Safety Manager

As our National Work Health and Safety (WHS) Manager, you will play a crucial role in fostering a safe and healthy working environment across all our locations.
You will develop, implement, and manage comprehensive health and safety programs while ensuring compliance with all regulations.
Your leadership will be key in cultivating a culture of safety that empowers every employee.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to assess compliance and drive continuous improvement.
Review pre-employment medicals and provide insights to hiring managers.
Plan and lead comprehensive safety training programs for all employees.
Develop and maintain industry-standard workplace safety and health programs.
Provide expert guidance on health and safety regulations to management.
Collaborate on Emergency Action Plans and manage incident notifications and investigations.
Ensure quality assurance in all safety-related documentation and processes.
Offer technical support on WHS challenges to management.
Manage WHS budgets and maintain related records.
Engage actively with teams and maintain visibility across branches.
What We're Looking For:
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Safety, Health, Engineering, or a related discipline (preferred).
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a medium to large commercial, logistics, or manufacturing environment, with at least 4 years in a management-level safety role.
Certifications: Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, OSHAS 18000 or equivalent, and as a Return-to-Work Coordinator.
Key Skills:
Strong risk assessment and management abilities.
Proficiency in creating SOPs and WHS policies, with knowledge of Workcover regulations.
Excellent conflict management, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Capacity to multitask and manage various projects effectively.
Proficiency in documenting and reporting safety performance.
