About the role – National SHEQ Manager The successful candidate is responsible for developing practical and effective methods, both preventative and remedial, to promote safe systems of work and safe working practices across all operational activities of the business to ensure AAES has a robust Risk Management System.
This will include developing the health, safety, and environmental competence of staff at all levels through the provision of appropriate training, encouraging ownership and engagement in safety, and developing and supporting accident reduction initiatives following the analysis of accident trends.
Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, the role is responsible for:
Management of Workers Compensation processManagement of insurance claims, from worker's injury through to the return-to-work processMaintenance of Injury Database and reportingMaintain and update key safety policies and processesKeep up to date on all safety regulations and Workers Compensation legislationMaintain a centralised HSEQ folder containing all relevant documentation and registers under document revision controlManage hazard documents and safety forms e.g. SWIMSIntroduce risk reduction initiatives and safety protocolsSHEQ Risk Matrix, build, maintain, and introduce initiatives to reduce the risk, and implement safety protocols where requiredDrive Operational WHS standardsConduct safety training sessions around the countryChair National WHS Committee Safety Training and maintain WHSE Committee MinutesSkills & experience A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a similar roleExperience in the building materials, service and installation industry an advantageKnowledge of installation, service, and maintenance processesAbility to build a highly valued local manufacturing capabilityAAES is an equal-opportunity employer.
