If you're truly an experienced & quality Service Manager looking for a role with an experienced & quality company, this is the role for you.Position OverviewThe National Service Manager is responsible for the day-to-day running of the Brisbane workshop and overseeing the management of three other locations on the eastern seaboard. As with all workshop management positions, quality communications with customers, technical staff, the workshop managers, and upper management are of utmost importance. Tasks covered by the role include:Support interstate workshop managers (3) in relation to their day-to-day workshop matters including upcoming jobs, planning, resources, HR matters, training, and customer-related requirements.Provide a direct, central point of support for national workshop teams.Provide day-to-day running, work planning, and scheduling for the Brisbane workshop including their direct technical requirements.Liaising with customers, understanding their needs, and delivering required levels of workshop support.Optimizing workflow and service delivery while ensuring high levels of workmanship & quality control are maintained.Manage workshop staff-related matters including their training, development, and any disciplinary action if required.Dynamically prioritize work and resources as work requirements and situations develop.Work with upper management in relation to job development, strategies, and future planning.Ensure workshop staff and managers have what's required to complete tasks effectively.Candidate RequirementsThis role requires a strong mechanical background including time on the tools and an excellent understanding of modern heavy equipment. In addition to mechanical knowledge, the role requires the following capabilities and attributes:Trade Qualified Mechanic with some type of heavy equipment experience; crushing and processing equipment experience is highly regarded.People management skills, covering all aspects of managing staff effectively.The ability to motivate and bring out the best in people, including their development.Well-developed customer service skills in a workshop management environment.Well-developed organizational and computer skills.The ability to think on your feet with good problem-solving ability.The ability to work at times under pressure and in dynamic situations.The ability to develop strong working relationships with all stakeholders.Australian citizen or PR with a driving license.The OfferOn offer is the very rare opportunity to secure a senior position with a well-respected heavy equipment OEM.
