About the role We are currently seeking a National Senior Information Manager to join our Corporate Information Technology team. Applications across all states will be considered.
This role will act as the Data Custodian for the hub and as the primary Information Manager for all central functions, ensuring the security, integrity, and accessibility of data assets. This role offers great career prospects with a privately-owned tier 1 constructor and international engineering enterprise.
Key responsibilities Establish roles and responsibilities for the information management team, working closely with the relevant Functional Lead(s) to ensure alignment and efficiency. Work collaboratively with regional counterparts to prepare, agree upon, and communicate Information Standards and Methods & Procedures. Ensure that Data Classification is consistently applied across projects and central functions. Deliver training to data stewards on data classification and provide system support for Microsoft Purview. Identify requirements for new or updated business data classifications. Reporting of Data Classification changes to Data Stewards. Oversee data access permissions and monitor unauthorized activities. Maintain a security-minded approach to data. Implement and manage data security solutions to protect sensitive information. About you As a successful candidate, you have:
Knowledge of Data Loss Prevention & Detection technologies. Knowledge of data security principles, including data encryption and access control. Understanding of data protection regulations and industry best practices. Ability to assess and mitigate risks related to data management.
