The National Sales Manager - Commercial has the responsibility of supporting performance across their aligned sales team.
They will embed a high-performing sales culture and drive initiatives across new and improved channels, products, and markets.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee a growing team of Territory Sales Managers – Commercial, currently 5 but expected to grow to at least 7-8 in the next 12+ months.
Advance the current sales strategy through analysing data and industry trends.
Continue to develop the Commercial division.
Develop, coach, and mentor the team whilst instilling a collaborative and winning sales culture.
Lead aligned national sales team to achieve team and individual targets.
Liaise with key department stakeholders to align operational planning to optimise sales.
Drive effective and regular 1:1's, team meetings, and monitor KPI's.
Drive timely, informed, and accurate sales analysis and reporting.
Drive utilisation of sales related processes and systems to support growth in national key accounts.
Drive sales discussions with key National Accounts.
Maintain and grow new accounts with particular focus on T1, T2 & T3 plasterboard contractors.
Develop and improve capabilities, systems, and projects.
Responsible to set and authorise growth programs, rebates, and partnership offers.
Monitor market prices, initiate price reviews, adjustments, and oversee the complete process to continually maximise margin performance.
Provide effective weekly and monthly sales and pipeline reports.
Attend and participate in regular Senior Leadership Team meetings.
Maintain open and regular communication with the management team.
Actively participate, promote, and engage on media platforms and team communication platforms.
Ensure that customers are contacted in a timely manner following any complaints, and that issues are settled to the customer's satisfaction.
Advise procurement of new product enquiries.
Responsible to assist, and initiate inventory reviews and clear overstock and obsolete items.
Work closely with procurement to identify sales trends and forecasts for efficient inventory holding.
Oversee the selection of marketing and promotional material, followed by targeted activity to ensure return on marketing campaigns.
Liaise with Marketing and Procurement to set pricing and promotions on all new or updated products.
Performance management.
Deliver annual performance reviews to aligned team.
Requirements Proven ability to develop and drive a sales team.
A proven business development track record, preferably within the construction industry.
Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently whilst leading an onsite and remote team.
Ability to lead from the front and by example.
Ability to research, qualify, engage, and convert business, specifically key national accounts.
Highly effective communication skills both written and verbal.
Demonstrated track record in exceeding sales targets in a National Sales role.
Experience and ability to align operational planning to optimise sales.
Experience in taking an active leadership position as part of a Senior Leadership Team.
Comfortable working in a privately owned, fast-paced environment.
Ability to be across the detail, without the need to micromanage and enable the Commercial Sales Team to work autonomously.
Demonstrated skills of taking ownership and showing initiative.
Positive and winning mindset – energetic and dynamic.
Industry knowledge.
Ability to travel domestically.
Monday to Friday - no weekends or night work.
