National Programs Lead

Details of the offer

Location: Sydney, Australia
Sector: Charity & Voluntary
Salary: Base + Super + NFP Salary packaging benefits
About the Company
We have partnered with a large-scale Not-for-profit focused on revolutionising cancer treatment and support to Australians, wherever they are in their cancer journey.
The organisation develops independent, evidence-based information on cancer prevention, detection, treatment, and care, and supports innovative research with the aim of improving patient outcomes and quality of life.
About the Role
The National Programs Lead will play an integral part in the success of projects within the organisation, initially focusing on one major program with the view to work on multiple programs further down the line.
This person will be working on complex programs with federal government departments and dealing with senior government stakeholders.
Responsibilities include preparing and presenting documentation around the programs, including grants and funding, and maintaining regular contact with key government departments.
This role will also involve managing risk and change management within program implementation.
You will have one direct report, a Program Manager, and will report directly to the CEO.
About You
To be considered for this role, you must have extensive experience with contract management and grant funding with federal government departments.
The initial focus of this role is a high-stakes project, requiring extensive governance work, so we need someone who can hit the ground running.
A combination of healthcare and government-funded program experience is essential due to the complexities of the projects this person will oversee.
While the preference for this role is a Sydney-based candidate, it is also open to remote candidates who are willing to travel occasionally.
What's in it for you
You will play an integral role in developing programs as part of an organisation working to improve the lives of those impacted by cancer.
The role offers a flexible working environment, and on top of your salary, you will receive NFP salary packaging benefits.
