The Role We have an exciting opportunity to join the Chief Underwriting Office as the National Portfolio Manager - Commercial Motor Vehicle. As the National Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for setting risk appetite and underwriting environment for the delivery of the product profitability with growth, across all markets within QBE Australia.

About the Role A day in the role may look a bit like this:
Develop, deliver and drive an effective and profitable portfolio strategyProvide technical leadership to the Product CommitteeWork with actuaries to plan, monitor & understand performanceProvide definitive insights of the Portfolio performanceRepresent the product in developing the annual business planManage internal stakeholders including senior executivesBe the ultimate referral point for complex underwriting activitiesEstablish and maintain product underwriting standards including risk management and risk acceptance criteriaOversee the internal and regulatory compliance for Commercial Motor productsRepresent QBE technically at ICA and industry forumsDetermine intent and operation of product wordings and related documents About You To be successful in this role you will have:
Extensive Insurance experience, ideally in an Underwriting/Portfolio Management roleTrack record in Commercial Motor including strong Fleet Motor experienceAdvanced knowledge of risk management, portfolio management and underwritingProven relationship building, communication, negotiating and influencing skills at a senior level within the insurance industryStrong analytical skills along with effective planning and budgeting skills About QBE We can never really predict what's around the corner, but at QBE we're asking the right questions to enable a more resilient future - helping those around us build strength and embrace change to their advantage.
