National Police Checking Service Advisor

About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Advisor to join our National Police Checking Service team in Canberra. As an Advisor, you will play a critical role in supporting the ongoing improvements in the Branch, managing complex issues, and providing input that contributes to the strategic direction of the Service.
Key Responsibilities: Support the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the Service meets its contractual obligations and minimizes risk.Provide advice on the identification, monitoring, and verification of Accredited Bodies to ensure compliance with their contractual obligations.Collaborate with the Accreditation and Audit team to assess applications from prospective organizations and manage contracts between Accredited Bodies and the ACIC.Contribute to the development of business capability and reporting functions to provide data to stakeholders on check volumes, revenue, and other information related to the Service.Work with the Policy and Coordination team to ensure critical aspects of the Service meet emerging Government priorities and benefit the community and national security.Provide operational and customer support to police, Accredited Bodies, and members of the general public.Support the Secondary Clearing team in processing nationally coordinated criminal history checks to ensure the Service meets check processing benchmarks.Requirements: Eligibility: The ACIC is committed to diversity and inclusion and welcomes applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, women, people with disability, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, those who identify as LGBTIQ+, neurodiverse, mature-aged employees, and carers.What We Offer: A dynamic and inclusive work environmentOpportunities for professional growth and developmentA competitive salary and benefits package
