We are looking for a
National Pest Control Manager
to support our Legal Department at
Deeside Head Office . The pest activity will increase in our winter months and therefore leaves the stores more vulnerable to pest activity. Having a Pest Control Manager will provide closer management of the situation.
Role and Responsibilities
Continuously review and maintain the companies processes around pest management and provide technical recommendations.
Work closely with internal department stakeholders such as Central Services and Property on pest management.
Lead on weekly escalation meetings with the company's competent pest control contractor and other stakeholders, i.e., store operations.
Complete site reviews of highlighted premises to assess current measures being employed by the company's competent pest contractor and make the required technical recommendations to aid pest control effectively and efficiently within the estate.
Undertake a sample audit of stores where the competent pest control contractors have completed works.
Communicate business risk internally on pest activity.
Develop a proactive and reactive training programme to include induction and refresher material.
Lead on the businesses pest control contractor ensuring adherence to the contract KPIs on a quarterly basis.
Monitor and report on pest control compliance on sites and contractor performance.
Liaise and respond to requests from external authorities (local authorities environmental health officers) with support from Head of Regulatory.
Lead on all pest-related food safety complaints.
Provide input for the weekly retail update.
Deputise for and assist the Head of Regulatory, Regulatory Managers, and Regulatory Support Manager where required on compliance issues around pests.
Lead on and organise out-of-hours works in store for pest control.
Review proactive measures around new stores and refits with the property department, i.e., proofing measures.
Support Head of Regulatory on other health, food, and safety matters where requested and applicable.
Qualifications, Experience, and Requirements
BPCA Certified Advanced Technician / RSPH Level 3 in Pest Management
Level 3 Food Safety Qualification
Level 3 Health & Safety Qualification
Knowledge of HACCP and Food Safety Programs
Legislation of pest control – ability to identify any business risks
Proven experience managing pest compliance at a multi-site food business.
Understanding of relevant legislation and legal frameworks
Flexibility to travel within the UK and overnight stays
Full valid UK driving licence
IT literate (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
