About the role Reporting to the Head of headspace Schools & Communities, the National Operations Manager is a Senior Leader within the Schools & Communities division, supporting strategic priorities and integration of programs. The role provides leadership to the Program Managers, providing direct line management to 5-7 FTE. The role works closely with the senior leadership team and more broadly across other programs within headspace national.
The National Operations Manager is responsible for the contract management, leadership, management and performance of the program teams and their annual work plans. This will include, but is not limited to:
Lead, coordinate and monitor contract related activities inclusive of the activity work plans, budgets and reportingWork with the national leadership team and stakeholders to apply a continuous improvement approach to service deliveryLead and effectively manage all the operational and strategic aspects of contracts and programsBuild the headspace culture and engagement of our people through effective people leadership and management at both the team and individual levelEngage with national and state/territory stakeholders as appropriate across health and educationParticipate in leadership and governance meetings and committeesIdentify and manage risks to programs or service deliveryEnact opportunities to integrate and collaborate the division and the broader headspace platformWho we're looking for The National Operations Manager is a highly experienced and innovative professional, with proven knowledge and proficiency in managing services and programs to support children, families, schools, and communities. With qualifications in health or education, the incumbent is familiar and connected to school systems, government sector, and the not-for-profit sector across Australia. The National Operations Manager also has experience in leading and motivating teams to meet key performance deliverables.
