SUPPLY CHAIN CONTEXT:
Two years ago, this brand made the strategic move to move away from a distribution network shared with other brands.
Since then, they have designed and established their own dedicated 3PL Supply Chain to meet the goals of the business and optimise customer service.
We are welcoming applications and expressions of interest for two newly created roles, reporting to the recently promoted 'Head of Logistics' who in turn reports to the CEO:
National Warehouse Manager - "Collaborating and coaching for operational excellence with 3PL partners"
Who will oversee outsourced ambient warehousing operations with a third-party logistics (3PL) provider running the National Distribution Centre in regional Victoria.
This role will focus on developing robust inventory and quality processes, implementing strong cost controls, and driving performance improvements to meet the needs of our customers.
You will bring your strong experience managing 3PL providers with a hands-on approach to develop and deliver a CI plan that drives improvement in service outputs.
The key areas of responsibility include:Vendor Management Quality Assurance Operational Excellence Inventory Control Process Improvement Compliance and Safety Reporting and Analysis National Transport Manager - "Ensuring Transport supports the value chain with agility and effectiveness and is calibrated commercially to ensure the 'cost to serve' is optimal"
Responsible for the strategic management of outsourced transportation operations across both the ambient and temperature-controlled distribution networks.
This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient, cost-effective, and timely delivery of products to customers.
The ideal candidate will collaborate with third-party logistics providers, ensuring adherence to service standards and fostering strong partnerships.Strategic Oversight Issue Resolution Budget Management Supplier Management Performance Monitoring Compliance Management Cross-Functional Collaboration Continuous Improvement SUCCESS PROFILE:
Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain principles, with experience in managing outsourced 3PL operations.
Background in a similar role in a dynamic FMCG environment (e.g.
Food & Beverage).
Direct experience in customer/supplier relationship management.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a talent for making sustained improvements to Logistics KPIs.
Proven track record in establishing quality control processes and cost management strategies.
Experience managing key performance levers within Warehousing Operations / Transport.
Understanding of transport & CoR legislation requirements (Transport Role only) .
Further Education in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (advantageous) .
Computer & Systems skills:
Strong knowledge of ERP systems (required) and WMS warehouse management software (preferred) SAP Business One experience preferred, but not essential.
A talent for Excel and typical Microsoft Office packages is fundamental (for analysis and communication).
