Experienced Event Manager with Sponsorship Sales experience to plan and deliver marquee conference in addition to other events throughout the year.

The role:We're looking for an experienced and passionate Event Manager to lead all aspects of the planning and delivery of their marquee event, an annual conference for 400pax+, as well as other events including roundtables, webinars, and professional development events.
This role requires a mix of strategic planning, sponsorship sales, stakeholder engagement, and hands-on execution. Reporting to the Executive Director (Business Operations), you'll be part of a diverse, collaborative team, working in a flexible and aspirational environment.
Responsibilities:Event Execution: Manage all aspects of their annual flagship event, including budget, logistics, program design and curation, speaker management and sponsor relationships.Program Curation: Collaborate with subject matter experts to curate dynamic, engaging programs and secure top-tier speakers for panels and sessions.Sponsorship Sales & Management: Research, contact and build strong relationships with relevant corporate and government sponsors. Lead the sales process with pitching and contracting sponsorship packages, manage deliverables, and ensure commitments are fulfilled.Event Marketing: Develop and execute promotional campaigns to attract attendees, speakers, and sponsors across digital and traditional platforms.Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison for suppliers, media, and event participants, ensuring smooth collaboration.Operational Excellence: Oversee onsite event logistics, manage supplier coordination, and ensure all operations comply with OH&S and risk management protocols.The candidate:Minimum 5 years of event management experience, including large-scale multi-stream conferences.Demonstrated ability to lead and influence stakeholders across various levels.Proficiency in budget management, project planning (experience with PM software Monday.com is beneficial), and supplier engagement.Sponsorship sales and management experience is highly regarded.Exceptional creativity and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering impactful, innovative events.Strong communication skills, capable of moderating sessions and engaging diverse audiences.Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment and manage competing priorities.Salary and Benefits:Competitive salary of $110K+ with access to full salary packaging.Hybrid work environment working remotely 2-3 days/week and from the office in North Melbourne.3 days of bonus leave during the Christmas period.Purpose driven event role, making a real difference in the sustainable food movement in Australia and New Zealand.Be part of a small, dynamic and dedicated team. #J-18808-Ljbffr
