The Role
Reporting to the Head of Sales and Distribution – Asset Finance, you will work closely with the Head of Operations and other various teams including external aggregators. The primary objective of this role is to drive the national Secured Business Loan Strategy while supporting the overall asset finance strategy. You will be responsible for overseeing the whole secured business loan broker lifecycle while also looking for growth opportunities to promote the product through third-party distribution channels.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain valuable long-term relationships with aggregators and brokers to maximise market opportunities and profitability
Stay informed about current market conditions inclusive of competitor activity to enhance competitiveness in the marketplace
Utilise new and existing aggregator and broker channels to promote and sell secured business loans nationally
Provide feedback on effective product development, policy improvements, and marketing strategies
Supervise and manage support staff while also training secured business loan brokers on credit policy and systems and services
Maintain relationships with the key stakeholders within the organisation
About You
This role would suit a professional with a deep understanding of the Australian non-bank lending sector, ideally with Secured Business Loans experience. Applicants that possess a high understanding of mortgages with skills and knowledge of secured business loans will be looked upon favourably. To succeed in this role, you will have had previous exposure to dealing with brokers and aggregators in addition to a sound understanding of their requirements, distribution channels, and market practices. Successful applicants will be results-driven with strong written and verbal communication skills that they can draw upon to build rapport and relationships with clients and stakeholders. You will also have the ability to work autonomously or in a team environment with a commercially acute strategic mindset. Tertiary qualifications in a Business discipline are preferred but not mandatory.
