About the role: We are on the hunt for an experienced and commercially astute National Account Manager, leading Target & Kmart portfolios and selected categories within the Coles portfolio. This role is responsible for the development and delivery of the Customer Business Plan, designed to align and achieve both the customer and Lindt business objectives, in conjunction with the National Business Manager.
In delivering the Customer Business Plan, this role plays a pivotal role in the management of trade spend, volume forecasting, and pricing and promotional strategy. Demonstrating consistent commercial control, this role is a key influencer of commercial and category thinking with the customer.
As the key customer contact for categories under management, this role will develop strong retailer relationships, and work collaboratively cross functionally within Lindt, to effectively manage risk and optimise opportunities.
Key responsibilities include:
Develops & implements strategic customer initiatives for the company that achieve Lindt's business targets & objectives Management of trade spend within the parameters of the agreed annual customer trade spend plan whilst recognizing customer margin requirements Drives 'over & above' activities to increase sales and block competitors Develop and submit a tailored customer promotional program in support of the customer business plan to maximize profitable sales and opportunities To ensure promotional program effectiveness and efficiency in driving profitable growth Leverages insights into actionable & profitable strategies against competitors Ensures timely planning and accurate forecasting of stock volumes with good service levels to the customer Manages all business systems to ensure strong planning and good visibility of Sales, Trade Spend, Profit and Volume and provides regular feedback and analysis of the account performance What you will bring: Previous FMCG experience in a customer facing selling role, preferably partnering with a major national retailer Exceptional customer focus and a collaborative approach to partnering with the customer Ability to formulate, articulate and implement strategic plans Ability to develop and interpret financial reports and leverage data analysis to derive actionable insights Outstanding negotiation and influencing skills, along with a confident and persuasive presentation style A degree in Business, Marketing or related field Category and/or Marketing experience would be highly regarded, but is not essential High levels of computer literacy, with experience in Promax preferred.
